December 20, 2007
it is now official. I am moving into the Limited Division for 2008. It will be a challenging year, with the need for support greater than ever.
I have asked for a new number for the 2008 season. # 225. This was Capt. John McKenna's division number, and I hope to honor and respect John and the members of his division. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion 25th Marines, a reserve unit based in Albany. Also, please remember Lance Corporal Michael D. Glover, of Garden City, who also lost his life while protecting our freedom.
John was also a New York State Trooper, based out of Kingston, since 2005.

A day of rememberance. With the war in Iraq continuing and many of our troops sacrificing for our freedom, I would like to take the time to remember one of my neighbors, Sgt. John McKenna, who lost his life trying to save one of his own.
Although I didn't have the opportunity to know John as well as I should have, he was a son; a brother; an Uncle, and more. He served not only the USA, but also was a New York State Trooper. We have been without John for some time; the wounds his family has to contend with continue to heal. Continue supporting our troops overseas; the political differences within our own country are trying to turn American citizens against our own armed forces. Remember, the troops are there not because of our politicians, but because of their commitment to serve our country and to protect our freedom.

My apologies for not posting sooner, but the developments at Albany-Saratoga during tech and practice, and the first couple of weeks have deterred me and LM2 Racing from returning to the track this year. With some circumstances out of my control, I decided not to field the # 51 car for the 2007 season. Family was my primary responsibility this year, with hope to be back on the track in 2008.

The rainout at Albany-Saratoga today can be a blessing in disguise; the new car is not complete....hoping to run Sunday at 5:45 PM; if the car's not ready, hoping for another rainout ! (sorry guys)
We still have room on the car for sponsors.....................
January 30, 2007
We are in the process of changing over to some new rides for 2007. The need for sponsors grows, as the budget diminishes....
Stay tuned in for more exciting developments in the next month !

Always Remember; Never Forget. Keeping this in mind, our communities need to continue to support our troops overseas and at home; law enforcement, firefighters, all of those who were affected by this tragedy. Whether you support the War in Iraq or not, everyone needs to support OUR TROOPS. Remember this the next time someone questions why we're there; these men and women made a commitment to defend our country and need the backing of all of us. Remember all of them too.............

I admit, I have been bad in not updating the website. With the arrival of Kiera Dorothy Lukasik in April, and the ongoing daily rituals of a 3 kid family, things have been crazy.
If anyone recalls June 2nd, I took quite a shot in turn 3 after pitching the car to avoid a 4 cylinder car that spun in front of me. After 2 long weeks of travel and time, the car seems ready to go for this friday night. I need to extend heartfelt thanks to Tommy and Billy down at Lussier's....and to Rick for helping put the pieces back together. We're hoping for a dry friday this week and look forward to getting back on the track.

April Fool's Day !
2005 is now history. With a 3rd place finish for Kev's inaugural season, on top of Rick's Championship year from 2004, and Mike emerging back on the racing scene this year, we have a tough year ahead.
2005 awards for LM2 Racing included NYSCCA's 6-cylinder 'Rookie of the Year" for Kevin, and 3rd Place and the "Hardcharger" award from Albany-Saratoga Speedway.
As bad as it sounds, this is no April Fool joke. We are behind the 8-ball in rolling to open practice days on the 14th and 21st. As much as we'd like to update the website, between work and the 3rd addition to the L portion to LM2 Racing, we are tryign to get on top of our game.
New products and a catalog are due to hit the website this month......new for 2006 will be tubes of 100 Glow Sticks with connectors for a ridiculously low price; it is also possible we will have some apparel available after the season begins.
Please feel free to send product suggestions or sponsor referrals to the E-Mail addresses listed on our contact page....

Welcome back, race fans ! We're off to a slow start so far this year, just beginning the hunt for sponsors. For the past 3 seasons, the # 51 car has finished 3rd, 1st and 3rd. We're hoping to bring more to the table this year with 3 cars !
Keep checking back for updates.....we're about to start rolling.
October 28, 2005
Welcome back to the site. November is creeping up fast, it is now time for LM2 Motorsports to begin thinking about the 2006 race season. 19 weeks of racing on the card (possibly more), and better prospects of a 3 car team this year. Mike is behind the wheel one more time for the anticipated "Halloween Havoc" tomorrow, the 29th at Albany-Saratoga Speedway. Should be quite an event.
As we begin revamping the website, we also begin the hunt for sponsorship. 3 wins last year and a 3rd place finish aren't too bad; quite a bit of airtime in the Bobco videos as well. Most impressive was Rick's debut in the June 2005 edition of Circle Track Magazine (page 12) highlighting his championship season from 2004.
If our fans know of any business entities who wish to invest in local advertising, please refer them to sponsors@lm2motorsports.com or to 518-810-2181.
Keep checking back for updates on the new builds !
September 11.
Four years ago, the unfathomable attacks against the US took place, beginning at 8:45 AM when the first of the 2 planes hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center. 18 minutes later, the second plane hit the South Tower. Then the 3rd plane hit the Pentagon at 9:45. Tower 1 collapsed at 10:00 AM; At 10:15, true American Heroes gave their own lives , saving countless others when the fourth plane went down outside of Pittsburgh; At 10:29AM Tower 2 collapsed.
3043 people died. (I don't count the 19 hijackers; they were worthless when they were alive, worth the same dead.) Men, Women, Husbands, Wives, Children. Just going about their daily business. Police Officers, Firefighters, Transit Police; doing their job: "To Protect and To Serve".
Always Remember : Never Forget.
Keep our Troops in your minds and prayers, always.

** My sincere apologies for not keeping up to date on the website; next year promises to be a more detailed and informative season **
Championship weekend at Albany Saratoga. Going into tonight's race, with the #62 car missing last week, 1 lap in the feature was all I needed to secure a 3rd place finish for the season. It's now history. Finishing 5th, I managed to hold onto 3rd place for my inaugural season.
Special thanks to our sponsors, family and friends for supporting our cause this year. Also to our fans, whose dedication is greatly appreciated. The website will stay active throughout the off season; anyone who thinks they may know someone to sponsor us, please give them our E-mail of sponsors@lm2racing.com.
Our initial plans for next year include 2 6 cylinder mini-stocks (Kevin and Mike) and a hobby stock (Rick). LM2 Motorsports will also begin offering merchandise on the website. We promise to bring you more photos, updates and information !
We will update Mike's progress behind the wheel for the next 2 weeks as well.
June 24. Mike Mrzyglod took the helm for double features. Managed to score a couple of 4ths, great job, Mike. Rick, Kevin and Mike are starting to concoct a plan for 2006. Mike will also take the wheel for American Pride Night, July 1st. The Stars and Stripe.....these colors don't run (except to the checkered flag).
June 17 Rained out, just 2 laps into the feature. Was ready for a fight, starting at the back of the field. I hope Brandon, from Halfmoon, NY enjoyed the ride in the car.....keep cheering us on, Brandon ! On to June 24th.
June 10. Armed Services night. Remember those who fight for our freedom every day, and those who gave their lives for the USA.
Rain was on everyone's mind. Bruce's determination paid off and every division got to run for double points. Started 7th once again, running with the 4 cylinder cars at the end of our pack. After some tight corners, I managed to grab the lead on lap 10 and brought home the checkers once again ! Thanks again to all of our sponsors, and more so to Rick, whose feedback and coaching proved successful.
Friday Night June 3. Started 7th, finished 3rd. Still have to get used to a couple of things on the car. More notable for the evening was Nick Lussier taking his first pole (based on trial lap time) for the Limited Main. Nice job, Nick.
May 30. Memorial day. Take a minue and think of all those who served (and SERVE) our country and have fought and died for to preserve what we have today.
Finished 5th on Friday night. Could've run better, something just didn't come together on the car. Hoping for better results next week. Thanks to all of you (you know who you are) that come out to support us, as well as the sponsors.
May 20.......Started scratch due to the win on the 13th, finished just there. Right front tire let go on lap 4 or 5. Even with changing the tire, still couldn't pick up positions. We'll see what this Friday brings; looks like rain ?
The kids got to ride in the car on the track.....loved it ! May have some racin' in their blood yet....
May 15, 2005.....Just finished the 2005 Results page. You'll find updated results and links to the CVRA site there........
April 15 - first day of practice. Got to burn off about 30 laps, Mike wound off another 10 or so. Looking forward to the first points race May 6. Come out to support us !
April 11, 2005.......Still in the hunt for sponsors (sponsors@lm2motorsports.com).
Pick up this month's edition of Circle Track....Rick is featured in the First Wins article (page 4 or 5)....how about that for some PR ? Looking forward to the first "test & tune" night Friday at the track. See you there !
March 28.......LM2 is pleased to welcome Executive Cleaners, in Stuyvesant Plaza, Albany, on board as a sponsor. Excellent quality and service make Executive Cleaners the best in the Capital District. Photos from the Latham Circle car show are coming.
We're still have room for a few additional sponsors. Anyone with interest, please email us at Sponsors@lm2motorsports.com; time is running out to get TKC Graphics (www.tkccustomgraphics.com) to reproduce your Logo in time for opening day !
March 11........Got the car into the Latham Circle "Rolling Thunder" car show. 5 days for Rick and myself to hang a new front clip of sheet metal (including doors), work 2 quarters out (about 8 hours each), sand, paint and letter the car.
The car is in front of CVS & Gold's Gym. Check it out !
Now we need some new sponsors to let us get their name out there at the track. Send an E-Mail- we'll get right back to you.................
Special thanks to Keith and Nicholas at Lussier's for helping out with the paint. Remember Lussier's for your one-stop body and mechanical repair shop.
Kneer's Auto Parts came through with the front clip sheet metal and doors to freshen the car up. Thanks, Everett, Rob, and the guys up on Moonlawn Rd for working in the snow.
Thanks also to Tom Clark at TKC Graphics for the fresh designs for 2005.
It's March 5, and racing season is rapidly approaching..........
The rebuild of the # 51 Mini-Stock is full blown. Sheet metal is hung, the quarters have been straightened and the car is getting ready for paint. We're hoping to make the Latham Circle Stock Car Show Friday March 11 thru Sunday March 13. Check out the gallery for photos throughout the rebuild process.....
We're happy to announce TKC Graphics is back online with Lussier's Autobody & Repairs & Kneer's Auto Parts as sponsors. We're still looking for a few local businesses that want to get their name out at the tracks, so don't wait !
We look forward to seeing all of you during the 2005 Race Season....
